GridlySwipe Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
Novice2Pro ("we", "us", or "our") publishes GridlySwipe, a word puzzle game
for Android and iOS (com.novice2pro.gridlyswipe).
This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use the app.
- No account required — you can play without registering, signing in, or giving us your name or email.
- Game progress stays on your device — scores, streaks, settings, and saved puzzles are stored locally on your phone or tablet.
- We do not run our own servers to collect personal profiles or track you across other apps.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Optional third-party services (ads, in-app purchases, leaderboards, analytics) may process limited data as described below.
1. Information we do not collect directly
GridlySwipe is designed to be played without creating an account. We do not ask for or collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- A username or password for a GridlySwipe account (there is no login)
- Your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location
You do not need to sign in to play Daily Challenge, Rush, Challenge, or Relax mode. Game data is saved on your device using local storage.
2. Information stored on your device
The app saves the following on your device only, so you can continue playing:
- Game progress, puzzle state, and scores
- Daily streak and hint balance
- Sound, music, and haptic settings
- Whether you completed the tutorial
- Ad-free and Premium status after a purchase
This data is not uploaded to our servers. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app’s storage in your device settings or uninstalling the app.
3. Third-party services
Like many free word and puzzle games, GridlySwipe uses trusted third-party providers for specific features. These services have their own privacy policies and may collect information according to their terms.
Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand how the app is used — for example which game modes are played, when levels are completed, and how shop and ad features perform. This helps us improve gameplay and fix problems. Analytics may collect:
- App interactions (e.g. screens viewed, game events such as mode selected or level completed)
- Device and app information (e.g. app version, operating system, general device category)
- An anonymous app instance identifier and, for purchase correlation, an anonymous RevenueCat user ID
We do not send your name, email, puzzle letters, or free-text support messages to analytics. You can limit analytics collection using your device settings where available, or by contacting us. Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Local streak reminders (optional)
If you choose to enable Daily streak reminders, the app may send a local notification on your device when you may be about to miss your Daily streak. These reminders are scheduled on your device and are not used for marketing. You can turn them off anytime in Settings.
Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)
We use Firebase Crashlytics on release builds to detect and fix crashes and serious errors. Crash reports may include device and app information, stack traces, and limited diagnostic app state. We do not send your name, email, puzzle letters, or free-text support messages to Crashlytics. Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Advertising (Google AdMob)
If you have not purchased Remove Ads or Premium, the app may show banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID and related device data to deliver and measure ads. You can limit personalized ads in your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising
Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
In-app purchases (Google Play, App Store, RevenueCat)
If you buy hints, Remove Ads, or Premium, payment is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and restore entitlements (e.g. ad-free play). We receive purchase and entitlement status — not your full payment card number.

- Google Play: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Leaderboards (optional — Google Play Games / Apple Game Center)
Leaderboards are optional. The app may attempt a silent sign-in to Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS) so you can submit scores and view rankings. If sign-in fails, gameplay continues normally. Leaderboard display names and scores are handled by Google or Apple, not by our own servers.
4. How we use information
Information processed through the app or its providers is used only to:
- Run the game and save your progress on your device
- Understand app usage and improve features (via Firebase Analytics)
- Diagnose and fix crashes (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Send optional local streak reminders you opted into
- Show ads (unless you have Remove Ads or Premium)
- Process and restore in-app purchases
- Submit and display leaderboard scores when you use Play Games or Game Center
We do not use your information for our own marketing emails or to build advertising profiles.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only with the third-party services listed above, and only as needed for those features to work.
6. Children’s privacy
GridlySwipe is a casual word puzzle intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
7. Your choices
- Play without leaderboards — ignore or decline Play Games / Game Center sign-in.
- Reduce ads — purchase Remove Ads or Premium in the Shop, or adjust ad personalization in device settings.
- Delete local data — clear app storage or uninstall GridlySwipe.
- Restore purchases — use the Restore option in the in-app Shop.
8. Data retention
Local game data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Purchase records are kept by Google, Apple, and RevenueCat according to their policies. Advertising and analytics data is handled by Google (AdMob and Firebase Analytics) according to Google’s policies.
9. Security
Because most game data stays on your device, you control it through your phone or tablet’s security settings. Information sent to payment and ad providers is transmitted using their standard secure methods.
10. International users
GridlySwipe is available in multiple countries. Third-party providers such as Google, Apple, and RevenueCat may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
